My Goal
The goal of Take a Moment is to provide families with biblical, doctrinally-sound resources to use for family devotions.
My Beliefs
I believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God. For all my English resources, I prefer to use the Authorized (King James) Version of the Bible.
I also subscribe to the Three Forms of Unity: The Heidelberg Catechism, The Belgic Confession of Faith, and the Canons of Dordt.

About Me
My name is Marina. Born and raised in The Netherlands, I moved to Canada in 2012 to become a teacher at one of the Dutch Reformed schools in the beautiful province of BC. After six years of fulltime teaching, I reduced my teaching hours, and started to work part time supporting people with disabilities in a residential setting for about three years. After that, I worked at a nursery for a year. Currently, I am fulltime at school again, and work there both as a teacher and as an educational assistant.
One of the subjects I enjoy teaching the most is Bible. It is so important to think along with children about God, about His Word, and about the most important things in life! Something I have noticed more and more, is the abundance of resources for children in Dutch, whereas there is a relative lack of resources available in English for children in the (Dutch) Reformed, Calvinistic circles.
In 2020, when I was quarantined for two weeks due to the coronavirus, I started writing devotional series for children. Feeling the importance of children being busy with the things that matter most, I wanted to share these resources with families in the English speaking parts of the world. That was the start of Take a Moment. My wish and prayer is that this work may be blessed to many.
