Reviewing memorized Bible texts
Would you like to review learned memory verses? You can check this external link or download the file below for a detailed explanation on a Scripture Memory System. One of our followers made a box for the Bible verses her children memorized (see pictures on the left) using this system.
If you and your children are memorizing the 26 alphabetical Bible texts below, this is a great system to review the memorized verses! ![]()

Bible activities for alphabetical Bible texts
One of Take a Moment's followers shared activities for 26 Bible texts. Each Bible text starts with a different letter of the alphabet.
Memorizing Bible verses is very important. The verses learned at a young age often stay in the child's head when he/she grows older. How good it is to fill our children's heads with God's Word! God can bless these words to the children's hearts.
Review of memorized verses is important as well, to make sure the texts stay in the children's memory. A good rule of thumb is to say the text at two or three different times each day, for at least a week. With younger ones it is good to spend two weeks on one text.
For this series, 26 verses are chosen, since there are 26 letters in the alphabet. If you take two weeks per text, it covers an entire year. You could also do one text each week, and review the one from the previous week at the same time. The puzzles will help the children to learn, process, and review each Bible text. Children could complete one puzzle or activity each day throughout the week in which they are learning the text. Sometimes, only part of a Bible verse is chosen. Older children could be challenged to learn the entire Bible verse.
The documents below contain all the activities for the Bible text for each letter.
