The Bible stories below all contain lessons for the new year (whether it be calendar year or school year):
- The wise men from the East provide us with a beautiful example of people who sought Jesus, the newborn King. When they found Him, they worshipped Him. We also need to seek and worship Jesus!
- The parable of the barren fig tree teaches us about the importance of bearing fruits.
- The history of the four men who brought their friend to Jesus teaches us that Jesus is the only One who can forgive sins. He can heal earthly diseases as well: nothing is impossible for Him! Besides that, the four men provide us with a good example of God's command to love our neighbour as ourselves.
